gerade eben gefunden ....

Richard Rubinstein revealed that a 3D version of George A. Romero’s 1978 zombie classic Dawn of the Dead is in the works. He told Fangoria that the film “can be reformatted into 3D without any editing, and the image looks spectacular! As it stands now, it will take about a year to complete the conversion of the whole film.” In-Three, Inc., who has worked with the likes of Peter Jackson, James Cameron, and more, will be responsible for the process. Rubinstein served as producer on Dawn as well as its 2004 remake and many Romero films. He also let it slip that he plans to create a direct sequel to the original Dawn. No other information was revealed, but we’ll keep you update.....

was sagt man dazu??   [6]

Fangoria got an update from Richard Rubenstein, producer of Dawn of the Dead '79 and '04, who tells the mag that preparations are being made with the Agoura Hill, California-based In-Three, Inc. to release Romero's original zombie epic in 3-D.

"I couldn't see how it could be used without re-editing George's film, which I was not going to do," says Rubenstein. "I was also concerned that converting a 29-year-old movie would not be competitive qualitatively with the new 3-D live-action features being shot today. I was wrong in both cases. George's Dawn of the Dead can be reformatted into 3-D without any editing, and the image looks spectacular!"

He adds the process will take about a year to complete and that he's planning a direct sequel to the original Dawn. Wha...?!

Zitat:

"I loved it! I loved the footage that I saw. Richard gracefully invited me and my daughter, when I happened to be in New York, to look at a test screening of this. I was completely blown away! Apparently it's gonna take a long time to completely do it, but man it was beautiful. The colors were exact, the 3-D was not cookie cutter. When Ken points the rifle...outside the airport, you see the entire rifle. It's not a pop up book, it's real. I'm blown away these technicians can actually do this. I loved it, I thought it looked gorgeous. I said 'hey Richard, this is going to be a whole new revival of this movie'. I don't know if the movie is important enough to make a big deal out of releasing it? The 3-D is unbelievable! I'm sitting here telling you it's unbelievable!"

Man darf also gespannt sein...

Letzte Info bisher:

They say converting the movie to the new format will be done in 2009. And oh yeah — Rubinstein also drops the shocker that they’re planning a direct sequel to “Dawn of the Dead” — no, not the Zack Snyder remake, but the original.

Ich sag mal " Turn back time"
