Beitrag von: Square-01 am 08. Januar 2007, 14:52:10 Ich habe jetzt gelesen, dass dieses Projekt erst mal auf Eis gelegt wurde, bzw. sogar ganz gestrichen werden soll. Die Rechte an dem Projekt waren auch so komisch aufgeteilt zwischen Paramount und Plan B (Produktionsfirma von Brad Pitt). Dazu kommen noch Warner und Appian Way (Leonardo Di Carprio!?!). Aber wie gesagt, dass ganze ist erstmal gecancelt!

evtl soll b(r)ad pitt eine hauptrolle übernehmen ..... [14] http://www.cinefacts.de/news/news.php?newsid=6424 weiterhin kommen wohl noch etliche zombie filme auf den markt. wird aber wohl bis auf wenige nur für dvd release reichen. richtig [1] der film soll jedoch keine komödie werden. er soll wohl eher richtung dokumentar gehen. kann man in dem link nachlesen. dennoch finde ich solch gesichter von stars (b.pitt oder dennis hopper) sehr unpassend. mit ving rhames bin ich so gerade klargekommen. It was one of the best zombie books released in a very long time! Most of what's coming out lately has been not so good. But if you are a fan of zombie literature, then you would definitely enjoy it! Oh, and yes, the movie is being made! I look forward to it.
As far as only 2 people on the forum reading Reign of the Dead, I'm sure it's because it's only available in english and that hampers the enjoyment of it with the language barrier. Michael Straczynski's script for the film adaptation of 'World War Z'. World War Z, as a screenplay, is the greatest handling of the living dead since Romero’s quadrilogy. And the first zombie script to have me wondering “Can a zombie film win an Oscar?” This script is done, there, at the level of perfection. The final greatness of this project is no longer in Straczynski’s hands: he’s done his job. He’s delivered a piece of screenwriting that, if translated correctly, will have affected a genre classic. We can all now only pray that this gets the director it deserves: Ridley Scott, David Fincher, Spielberg (Just hear me out - “Munich” Spielberg), Soderbergh – someone capable of handling a political thriller/David Lean style epic with an edge, which just happens to have a zombie outbreak as a backdrop – and that it is, by God, not messed with… Just need to hope Brad Pitt's production company (Plan B Entertainment) don't drop the ball now on this project!
