"Special Edition" von Anchor Bay

Fangoria is reporting on some preliminary news on Anchor Bay's upcoming DVD release of a little film called Dawn of the Dead. The remastered DVD will come out first in early 2004 as a movie-only release. Then, later in the year a 3-5 disc special edition will invade malls all over North America. The original and extended cuts will be included, and Anchor Bay is in the process of securing the rights to distribute Argento's Zombi cut as well. Of the announced extras, George A. Romero has said that tons of new interview footage has been shot, and a commentary with producer Richard Rubinstein is already in post-production. Plans for a Romero/Savini commentary (a la Day of the Dead) are also being thrown around.

Should be quite the DVD set...if it ever does get a release date.
